Photo of car data plate indicates engine number previously recorded is incorrect.

Offered for sale in New Zealand for $75,000 NZD. It is interesting to note that the photo of the data plate shows a very new looking data plate with no body or gearbox number stamped on it? No mention of a full restoration is mentioned in the sale blurb listed below?

Original RHD sold new in Chch by Archibalds in Feb 1963. This outstanding Series One was repainted in approx 1997 and a new interior leather kit fitted at this time. In 2004 the engine and clutch were refurbished and a close ratio synchromesh gearbox installed. The original Moss gearbox is available. A wider set of chrome wires has also been fitted. These sympathetic modifications have made this a very useable and superb Series One to drive.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
