The car was purchased second hand in England in 1965 or 6 at auction it had been painted red and was a little scruffy the E type was bought by Murray Rainry for his daughter Joy, they sent it to Geelong Australia. The car was first registered at South Geelong on the 26 May 1966. It was sold to Ian D Zimmer of Belmont, then on 7 June 1968 to John H Thomson of Newtown, then on 5 Oct 1970 to Mark R Andre of Ocean Grove. I purchased the car in 1977 it was restored in 2000 and registered OKV1. The car now has Ser 2 brakes, ventilated rotors all round, 80 amp alt, 5 speed getrag gearbox.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
