For sale on ebay : Classified ad price £149,995
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1-3-8-Coupe-UK-Matching-Numbers-Same-Fam ...
Seller's description :
Jaguar E Type 3.8 FHC series 1, 1964 B registration. Carmen red with black leather interior. A genuine UK matching numbers car with no stories or issues . Owned by the same family for fifty years from when it was new until last year. AWA69B is the well know E Type that was on show at the Gaydon Heritage Museum. My own E Type that I purchased 18 months ago not with the intention of selling, but other commitments have arisen. I purchased it off the daughter of the chap who purchased it new in 1964. It is one of the most original cars retaining all of it's 3.8 series 1 features. It has just benefited from a refreshed interior and new chrome wire wheels, will be supplied freshly serviced and mot'd. Presents and drives beautifully. Gorgeous to look at and an icon of sixties British motoring. To say this is a reluctant sale is an understatement .

Sold by The Classic Connection of Burley in April 2021. Seller's description below.
www.classicconnection.co.uk/post/jaguar-e-type-series-1-coupe
E Type Series 1 Coupe, 1964 3.8, Carmen Red with full Black leather interior. AWA69B remained with its first owner and his daughter for over fifty years, it was then placed in the Heritage Museum at Gaydon after the passing of the owner by his daughter. 6 years ago I purchased the car and carried out some interior work including re-trimming the seats and fitting new wheels and various other bits. After a couple of years I sold it to a friend who asked me to strip it from the bulkhead forward and carry out a rebuild of the engine and fit a 5 speed gearbox. We stripped the bulkhead and frames down to bare metal and repainted them in the original Carmen Red.
All other components were stripped and rebuilt, everything was either replated or powder coated and some items were replaced. The original gearbox comes with the car and it has a full stainless steel exhaust with manifolds. There is a history file containing all the expenditure over the past 6 years, many old MoT's, Heritage Certificate, old log books, photos of the car with the first owner, original owners manual, servicing charts and various other bills. This car is in fantastic condition thoughout and represents excellent value for such an original and correct car. There is also an article in the file from E Type magazine when it was featured on our premises detailing the front end restoration.
