Sold by Cecil Cars of Ollainville in October 2021. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.cecil-cars.com/vente/jaguar-type-e-plancher-plat-fr-dorigine/

History: Sold new on 29 November 1961 by importer Delecroix of Paris to Mr Godefroy. It changed hands in 1969 to remain with only the second owner until today. This Jaguar is the 48th sold in France out of 69 in 1961!

Bodywork: Still in the original colour, Opalescent Dark Blue, it is corrosion free and in excellent condition. The doors, hood are excellent. All panels and sills are in good condition.

Interior: It still has its original beige upholstery with a beautiful patina. The carpets and soft top are new.

Engine: The matching numbers original engine works perfectly. Regularly maintained, it has excellent oil pressure. It has its original cylinder head, still finished in its original orange pumpkin paint.

Gearbox: The Moss gearbox is in excellent order, the gears shift well.

Running gear: The rear axle is solid with very good handling. The chassis is perfect, with no play or noise recorded. The suspension is perfect.

Brakes: Braking is perfect and in a straight line thanks to the disc brakes.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
