Restored using as many renewed original electrical components with 12/1961 dates. Has original wiring harness. Has foot wells which is correct based upon Jaguar Service Bulletin J.306306 that states they were added starting with #876381.Consistent 99.5+ C-5 Concours scores and I have the years of score sheets. Judges say I drive it too much to be a 100 car. I chose to paint black due to the extensive body work that was needed. New complete bonnet from England. New sills and driver footwell. Aluminum radiator with Marston nameplate from Northampton Radiators. Engine enhanced to limits while maintaining original appearance from the factory. Engine has always scored 99.9-100 in Concours judging.
All renewed original Cheney clamps as required on all connections even the ones you do not see. Dayton restored 5 wire wheels, all hubs original and replated, one wheel rim had to be replaced due damage. Spokes are stainless steel. Complete new interior with certificate. Two tone hood. Interesting detail is that both brake cylinders have the metal I.D. tags; but also have original appearing red orange plastic tags and these cylinders are original to the car. This car was in 17 boxes and assorted sub-assemblies and sat apart from 1971 to 1981 when I purchased it which is why many components are all original and correct. Still looking for the original Hitchcock seat belts; which were missing. I have photo documented every component of this car for future reference on originality.

Ebay item 7/25/18
www.ebay.com/itm/E-Type-Roadster/223075039005
Classified ad price $226,000, sellerhelastdetail, 29k miles.
Seller's description:
29,860 Original Miles!!
Concours Restored Roadster
Numbers Matching Example
Triple Carb 3.8 Litre w/5 Speed
Flawless Black Exterior & Cloth Top
Dark Tan Interior w/Aluminum Trim
Comprehensive History & Heritage Certificate
Original Jack, Tool Roll & Owners Manuals
Heavily documented and restored to Concours standards, this E-Type is by far the finest example weve ever represented. Meticulously presented in black with a contrasting dark tan interior and black cloth top, the condition is simply top notch throughout. Folding the bonnet forward reveals the thoroughly rebuilt original 3.8 liter straight six with performance camshafts increasing compression to 9:1, producing approximately 310 horsepower. The original 4 speed transmission was upgraded to a 5 speed, substantially improving the driving experience. The car comes with thorough documentation of service and restoration history, and tools as well. This XKE Roadster will make an excellent addition to any collection.

The mileage being quoted is false, and I contacted the seller and told him so. I owned this car, I restored it and showed it for years in Ohio. My name is on the Certificate. This car went over a 100,000 and the gauge started over. However, this car had a complete every nut and bolt restoration so mileage is not a major issue. I just do not like their claim of original mileage. Ken Foran
