Article found by Ernesto Grilletti in the July '07 edition of the French magazine ''Rétroviseur'', a great find.

''Ordered in 1962 with aluminum bonnet, hard-top and doors, we can
consider this very special E-Type (chassis number 876688) as a pre-
lightweight. The first lightweight was built with chassis S850659 (
registered as 5115WK) and handed to Briggs Cunningham to race it in
1963. Jean-François Bentz's car, prepared by Francis Trichet, was
restored in 1988 to race in VHC''

Saw the car at Spa-Francorchamps in 2003 and Le Mans Classic 2004.
It was then painted by stylist Chantal Thomas and was participating in a fund raising to
support Children's Heart surgery with several sponsors.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
