Ebay item 8/17/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-XKE-ROADSTER-RESTORATION-HIGH-INT ...
Current bid $10,200 reserve not met, 8 bids 6 days left in auction. 29k miles.
Sellers description:
The car has been in a damp, humid storage facility since 1969 and in probate almost as long. The car is very honest with no accident history or rust repair. The original spot welds are still visable in the wheel well openings, all lead seams are still flush, not swollen. The car is not full of bondo and repairs, note the near perfect body panel fit along with how straight the body panels are. Obviously it needs restored and shows poorly due to storage conditions but look beyond the rust discoloration and you see a car that has not been tampered with or altered. The car is complete except front bumpers. The car is a number matching car with original engine, transmission, and rear end.The miles are represented as the actual miles of the car. At the time of this listing we have not tried starting the engine. If you have been looking for a very honest, unmolested example for restoration.
