Owner: Garth Norton

I enjoy three Jaguars including a very lovely 1963 Mark II, a 1962 Series 1 3.8 E-Type and a 1969 Series 2 E-Type. I enjoy each one in a different way but the Series 2 E is probably the I like to drive the best.

The modern cars I love to drive are my 2002 SL500 MBZ and my 2014 C63 AMG Mercedes coupe.

wBay purchase. Many details wrong. However did the work should be shot but most can be fixed without too much work. Car is at Images getting some of that done now.

Do you have the JDHT Certificate for this car? Do you know the build date? I am trying to add you and your cat to my E Type Owners List at www.jaguarlinks.com
Please E Mail me at mike @jaguarlinks.com for an update to your car.

With help of the great people at Images in Campbell CA. and members of the jag-lovers.com forum, most of the incorrect details have been resolved. The car retains original aluminum radiator, steering wheel, and body panels. I enjoy driving the car regularly.

Just uploaded a *fantastic* photo I grabbed of this car (in the "action shots" section soon, I hope) while we passed it on the 2007 Going To The Sun Rally in Montana. In the distance you can also see the S2 OTS 1R9695

Seller's description:

1962 Jaguar Series 1 XKE Roadster

Gallery Junction is pleased to offer this 1962 Series 1 Roadster. This stunning example came from a California collector who regularly maintained and drove the car. This example comes with its Jaguar Heritage Certificate documenting it as a numbers matching vehicle. This car was produced June 14th 1962. The early Series 1 cars equipped with the 3.8L engine are becoming harder and harder to acquire and this is an excellent example for any collection. It runs and drives very well and shows wonderfully in Carmen Red with a Black Leather Interior and Tan convertible top. The car features a very solid body with amazing gaps, lines and floors.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
