2/10/04 net ad at:

Asking price $36,995.

Sellers comment:
Here is a great driver that shows really well and has had a few changes made for comfort, drivability and visual appearance. The seats in this car are from the later Series Two version E Type, giving you the high back and reclining ability plus headrests. Instead of the standard non-syncromesh 4-speed gearbox it has been improved to the all-syncromesh 4-speed gearbox from a later Model E Type. The engine compartment looks superb with a highly polished finish. Power is from the 3.8litre 6-cylinder engine with triple-carbs that are fitted with trumpets and the cooling fan is a monster 16-inch style, mounted in front of the radiator and vastly improved over the original version. The charging system has an alternator replacing the original generator. Cosmetically the front fenders are given a smooth finish with the removal of the chrome fender separation strips. A lot of money has been spent on restoration work and it shows ranging from an engine and gearbox rebuild to just about every part on the car having had work. We have receipts that are stack about 2 inches deep. Finished in Red with Black interior and convertible top with chrome wire wheels.

GESCHICHTE

Tachostand 71170 mls
Fahrgestellnummer 877870

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
