"Found 878096 in Silverdale, WA. Pulled it out of a garage near Bangor after a 25 year snooze. Nov 62 build date, titled as a '64. Has a 3.8 E-Type motor from Oct or Nov '63. Other than that, a pretty good car. Minor rust..still sitting on 4 bias ply tires."

Current bid $10,100, no reserve, 9 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Barn Find. Pulled from storage after 26 years. VIN puts production in late '62. Car titled as a 1964. Subjected to a meager restoration attempt in very early '80s limited to removal of interior panels (they are in trunk), a few patches of minor rust, and knocking the car off jackstands poking a hole in the sump. Project was then stalled and 26 years went by. Car is 99% complete and rolling. Minor rust is evident, mainly contained to rear body by license area (see photo) and bottom of trunk floor. A NOS trunk floor is included. Main floors and sills are very good. Some rust bubbles in bottom of door skins and body seams between rear dogleg and outer sill. The original engine, #R7470-9, was changed out in the late '60s or early '70s and replaced with engine #RA3301-9, a correct 3.8 litre E-Type motor from late '63. The car appears to have had a new vinyl top fitted just before storage as it appears to be in excellent shape, just soiled. Car still sitting on ancient bias ply tires with original chrome wire wheels.
