Ebay item 3/21/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $12,110 reserve not met, 3 bids 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This 1963 E-type roadster has spent most of it's life in California and the body certainly shows it. It is super nice condition and I can't find any rust. Where the bonne hinges is nice and dry as well as the floors and the trunk area. The sills are the original as they still have the spot welds on them from the factory. The interior of the car i.e. the seats, the top, the carpet, console and dash are in real nice condition. The car runs and drives great. There is plenty of power in the car. Back in the very early 70's the original engine blew a hole in one of the pistons. The owner at that time took out the engine and gearbox and gave it away. The engine in the car now is a rebuilt 289 Ford mustang engine with a matching Ford Mustang gearbox. The nice part about it is the frame did not have to be cut with the Ford engine. The owner used nuts and brackets to secure it. So if you wanted to put a 3.8 Jaguar engine and gearbox back in the car it is ready for it. As you can see the bonnet has been modified to allow for the height of the Ford engine. It doesn't look like it would take much to bring the bonnet back to it's original state. The car needs nothing and it could be driven home. This car is great to run around in for the summer or if you wish you could bring it back to it's original Jaguar specs.
