The car was originally restored by my father in 1980. The photos are of the restored car as it was in 1980. The car has aged since then and has been sitting for quite some time. I have maintained it as much as possible to minmize the "aging." I have recently begun the restoration process again and am looking forward to getting it back on the road.

I have the plate for this vehicle and thought that it was for the vehicle my father restored, After more research, I have found a body number on the car that based upon the information on this site, fits the vehicle I own. The fact that I have this plate leads me to believe that car 879242 has been scrapped, but I cannot confirm this. If you find that this is your car, I would glady send you the identification plate.

Please ignore my comments on 9-13-08. After more research, I believe the body number found on the dashboard backing was spare parts from another car. Old resotration photos show two different dashboard parts, which leads me to believe they were replacment parts. Happily, I report I have the car stipped down to the tub and am begining the restoration of rusting parts. I anticipate being a few years until it is back on the road, but well worth it the time and effort.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
