Car was rebuilt from a bare shell with no running gear using a very late '64 3.8L E-Type FHC donor car that was largely complete but the shell was beyond economical repair. The FHC donor was matching numbers and dates from after 4.2L production was underway. The donor car appeared like a 4.2L in every way (Vinyl dash, later seats, synchro box but was an original 3.8L car.
