Car to be auctioned at:
www.wwgauctions.com/houston2007.cfm
Auction description:
This beautiful early classic Carmen Red 1962 E Roadster is the result of a full, bare-metal, nut and bolt "rotisserie" restoration by Beeck Family Restorations of Akron. Upon close examination, it is highly evident that every precaution was taken to ensure exacting factory specifications were maintained throughout the entire process. The second owner acquired the car in 1968 when the odometer read 40,942. He rebuilt the engine, and then pickled it and disassembled the rest of the car, carefully bagging and tagging each part before putting it in dry storage. He sold the car to the present owner 38 years later in exactly the same condition. The first owner had ordered the car through Jaguar New York but had taken delivery in Europe so the car is fitted with a Becker Grand Prix radio. This complements the original tool kit and jack, owner's manuals, warranty cards, sales brochures and very rare factory hardtop, which together offer an opportunity to acquire a fully optioned and superb early roadster with just some three miles on the odometer post restoration.
