Sellers description:

VIN #: 879943
Mileage: 43968
Trans: Manual
Condition: Good
Exterior: Opalescent Dark Green
Interior: Beige
Very well documented to-the-bolt restoration chronicled in detail on the web at etype.inetogether.net. Exterior is Opalescent Dark Green with beige interior. Rust on the car was painstakingly removed with parts restored or replaced and POR-15 rust encapsulator used to prevent further corrosion. The original 3.8 liter engine is available with the car, if you want the original engine. The car's fiberglass hardtop, partially restored, is also included. A 1980 4.2 liter XK engine was used to replace the original engine, though the original SU carburettors, value covers, timing chain cover, and transmission were fitted. The progress of the restoration, which is available online, shows decisions made over the course of the project.
I am looking for a person who will both use and cherish this car.
Price: $131,000 negotiable

Lot #188842
This 1963 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was acquired by the seller as a non-running project in 2002 and was refurbished over the next 15 years. Power is supplied by a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Opalescent Dark Green over tan vinyl with dark green piping, the car is equipped with a black soft top, a removable hardtop, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes with Volvo-spec front calipers, and Wilwood master cylinders. The car runs and drives but requires mechanical attention before being roadworthy. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered at no reserve with a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
This example was disassembled, stripped to bare metal, and underwent rust repairs before being repainted in Opalescent Dark Green under current ownership. Replacement floors were installed and the frame and body were sealed with a rust inhibitor at that time, and the hood support structure was replaced due to a prior front end collision.
Plexiglass headlight covers have been added in place of the glass units and the front bumpers have been removed. A removable hardtop is included in the sale, though it is missing the rear window. The windshield wipers and washers are inoperative. A paint crack and rust on the rear bumpers are visible.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires measuring 185HR15 and showing date codes from 2006 and 2015. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors and yellow Volvo-spec two-piston front calipers. Wilwood master cylinders have been installed.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan vinyl with green piping along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Aluminum trim accents the center console and center stack. The aftermarket stereo is inoperative and the heater is not connected. There is a tear on the driver’s seat.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and an electronic 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles, which is not believed to be accurate. Less than 500 miles were added under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly sourced from a 1980 Jaguar XJ and installed in 2007. It was modified to accommodate the triple SU carburetors and fitted with a number of parts from the prior 3.8L engine, including the oil pan, front chain tensioner cover, and aluminum valve covers. An alternator has been installed in place of the factory generator, and an electric fuel pump has been added. The seller believes that cylinder #2 is not functioning properly, and the engine misfires and backfires. An engine overhaul is recommended.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Moss four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
