1964 Jaguar XKE Series I Roadster
"Full Numbers Matching Car"
ONLY 41,973 Miles from NEW
Car number 88018
Engine Number RA 2959 - 9
Body Number R6784
Gearbox Number EB10766JS
Offered here is the owners personal project, nut as our schedule fills up it is very hard for me to work on my own personal cars, so this wonderful and correct numbers matching E type is being offered for sale.
Much of the difficult work has already been completed on the car. The main body was media blasted and any of the rust repair was carried out using new Martin Ryobi panels which were professional restored. The car is now free of any rust, and no major rust repairs will be required which is rare for an E type. The underside of the car looks ti be very clean and all of the original rear trailing arms are solid where they mount to the body. The engine bay and car was painted in Silver, the exterior finish needs to be clear coated and some minor chips from storage need to be repaired. THe bonnett is in bear metal, and a few minor metal patches have been applied, which will require metal finishing.
The engine was rebuilt and has never been started. The suspension , brakes and and wiring are still original and need to be restored.
Only a few items are missing that I know of. A few items I know of are the Gas Tank, which is available new, the lower half of the air cleaner. Otherwise the car appears to be very complete. The seats are original and there are a number of parts
