Current bid $12,322 reserve not met, 5 bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar E-Type Convertible offered due to passing of owner. Frame off restoration lovingly completed by husband 3 years ago. 385 miles since resto, 78434 miles total. 3.8 L engine restored to new from crank to cams, bored .030 over. Paint by Filz Kustom Body & Paint in original Jaguar gray; interior wrapped in new Connolly hides from Great Brittain. This car drives as it should, but is not a show car. It had been garaged for nearly 3 years and needed a major tune up and fuel system cleaning. Local Jaguar dealer performed $1540.00 worth of work, including the replacement of a temperamental door handle. There are some unprofessional touch up marks along the passenger door where it meets the fender, due to rubbing because of misalignment. All that can easily be taken care of.
Some of the highlights: Cylinder head completely rebuilt with new valves and springs; Newhard valve seats in order to run regular unleaded gas; new timing chains; exhaust headers specially coated; oil filter changed to spin-on type; fuel tank de-rusted and coated with preservatives; new fuel pump; brake calipers rebuilt by Apple Hydraulics in NY; new brake lines, master cylinder; all new coil over shock absorbers and suspension bushings; new u-joints, ball joints, boots throughout; five new rims and tires; new bearings and seals in in transmission and differential; gear box housings are powder coated; new wiring harness; rebuilt carburetors; new radiator, radiator tank and cooling fans; body parts plastic blasted and new panels inserted where required; comes with matching color hard top. Appraised 03-03-07 at $60,000.00 US.
