I AM SELLING THIS 1964 JAGUAR SERIES 1 E TYPE ROADSTER FOR MY BROTHER-IN-LAW. THERE IS NO RESERVE AND THIS CAR WILL SELL TO THE HIGH BIDDER. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A CAR THAT WITH MINIMAL EFFORT CAN BE TAKEN TO THE HIGHWAY: READ ON. THE CAR IS FULLY ASSEMBLED AND OPERATIONAL. ENGINE STARTS (RUNS ROUGH, THE SU HD-8'S NEED TUNED AND TIMING ADJUSTED.ELECTRICS OPERATES (GAUGES, FUEL PUMP, HEADLIGHTS, HORN, CHARGING SYSTEM, STEREO WIPERS, DASH LIGHTS, ETC) THE CLUTCH BRAKES AND DRIVE TRAIN (MOSS NON-SYNCHRO GEARBOX, 3.54:1 OPERATE. WIRE WHEELS (INCLUDING SPARE) ARE VERY GOOD. PAINT AND INTERIOR TRIM IS FAIR TO GOOD, MICHELIN RED-LINE TIRES ARE IN FAIR CONDITION, THE VINYL TOP IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. CHROME ON THE CAR IS GOOD TO VERY GOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TYPICAL PROBLEM SPOT ABOVE THE TAIL PIPES AT THE BOOT.

WE HAVE INCLUDED AN APPRAISAL FROM 1990 WHEN MY BROTHER-IN-LAW PURCHASED THE CAR. CHANGES SINCE TIME OF APPRAISAL INCLUDE CONVERSION TO NEGATIVE GROUND. THE GENERATOR WAS REPLACED WITH DELCO ALTERNATOR (VOLTMETER REPLACED AMMETER ON DASH), RADIATOR RE-CORED, JAGUAR COOLING FAN REPLACED WITH LOW PROFILE HIGH PERFORMANCE COOLING FAN AND SOLID STATE THERMOSTAT ON HEADER TANK,POINTS DISTRIBUTOR REPLACED WITH XJ-6 ELECTRONIC IGNITION. THE BRAKE MASTER AND SLAVE CYLINDER WERE SLEEVED IN BRASS. BLAUPUNKT RADIO REPLACED WITH MODERN STEREO/CASSETTE AND AMP. THE CARPETING HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE U-JOINTS HAVE BEEN REBUILT, PETROL TANK CLEANED AND SEALED. THE AIR CLEANER HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH INDIVIDUAL CLEANERS. ALL PARTS REMOVED FROM THE CAR(GENERATOR, & CONTROL BOX,DISTRIBUTOR, BRACKETS, ETC ARE INCLUDE WITH THE CAR. ALSO INCLUDES IS A FACTORY WORKSHOP MANUAL AND OTHER E-TYPE RELATED PUBLICATIONS.
