Sellers description:
This fully matching number, 2 owner car is originally from California, then it moved to Texas. The body is in super condition. It has had a rebuild on the engine about 20,000 miles ago and a new clutch was put in at the same time. The fellow that recently owned the car has had 2 hips replaced and can no longer get in and out of the car. It has been kept in a heated garage for some time now. It was just taken out last week and this is what it looks like as shown in the phtotos. The brakes will need to be gone through, because of the car sitting for a while. The hand brake works fine. The rear end has been rebuilt on the car. The car is complete except that it is missing the tool roll. The jack is there as you can see. This E-type still has the original, factory, Jaguar radio in it. The interior is in super nice condition. The top is in great condition as well. I can't find any rust on the car, I've checked the floors, around the bonnet hinges, the spare tire well, sills, etc. The car has always been the Primrose yellow color as you can see on the frame rails in the pictures. I have verified all the numbers match the commssion plate, including the number on the picture frame. The head and block match as well. I've tried the engine with ether and it runs. The car will need the fuel tank drained and a new fuel pump. 81k miles.

Car just arrived in Queensland, Australia. Does anyone have any history regarding this car? Original colour from Heritage certificate states Carmen Red, now obviuosly yellow. Will provide more info once I have really looked at the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
