After almost 30 years my father has asked me to sell his series one XKE Roadster. I don't know where to start, so I am going to make it fairly simple by saying that this car will not be sold dirt cheap. On the other hand this car will be sold and I feel the reserve is extremely fair. I am going to give a quick summary. I am am fairly knowledgable when it comes to cars, especially 60's Camaros, but this car deserves the attention of an expert with British cats. Now to the car, my father is the 3rd owner and has owned the car since 1978 or 1979. The Jag was not delivered to our garage under its own power, and spent its first 5 years under restoration. (I have pictures of the car pre-1980 resto)

This car is 100% yes I said 100% rust free!!!! did I say 100% rust free? yes I did. I just wish I could find a 1968 Camaro convertible in this condition for the kind of money we will sell this Jag for. The miles are actual (65k) and car comes with all original paper work form day one. Owners manual, service chart, service manual, warranty card, service coupon book, and glove box literature sleeve. This stuff is usually long gone and hard to put a price on. The car looks like a 10 from ten feet but after close inspection shows its age. The interior was profesionally restored 25 years ago and still looks great. The car was last driven in the late 90s and will require clutch slave cylinder and brake work before driving. The convertible top is great, tires new (25 years ago), bright work complete and dent free (presentable but car deserves rechrome) paint is shiny (1 laquer repaint since new), no signs of rust now or when we stripped the car over 30 years ago. Oh, I forgot to mention that this car has never sat out overnight in the last 30 plus years and has had less than 1000 miles put on it in the time we have owned the car. Hard to believe I must admit. I have stored this vehicle the last 15 years. This car could use cosmetics and for the purist a steel bonnet. The bonnet on the car is a fiberglass repro that was considerably less money in 1979. We have had intentions of buying a steel bonnet for 25 years but usage has not warranted expenditure. I am sure my dad kicks himself for throwing out the repairable bonnet some 30 years ago, but thats water under the bridge.
