Current bid $49,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $60,000. Car now said to be in Belmont, Massachusetts. Same seller as above.
Sellers description:
1964 Jaguar XKE Series I Roadster, with proper glass covered headlights, leather bucket seats, and toggle switches on the dashboard. This E-Type is Chassis Number: 881097 and Engine Number RA1063-9 (confirmed on the cylinder head and engine block). This Jaguar is finished in a Burgundy, over a Black leather interior, and a Black cloth convertible top. According to the web site XKE data, this is supposed to be a low mileage California car, appearing to be a rust, and accident free example. Sympathetically restored by Classic Showcase in California back in 2003, where a 4.2 Liter synchromesh gearbox was installed, also a complete re-paint, new interior, new rubber trim, new convertible top, and many re-chromed parts. There have been very few miles put on this Jaguar since 2003, and the paint, chrome, and interior still are in very good shape.
This Jaguar starts very easily, and drives extremely well. The chrome is in very good shape, and the interior, as well as the convertible top, are still like new. There is a bit of wear on the driver's side seat bolster, and it looks like the dash top maybe original.
