This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that is said to have been owned in Florida by two family friends, driven daily by the seller’s father in the 1970s, and sold to a jeweler in West Virginia before being repurchased by the seller’s father in the 1980s. Power comes from a 3.8-liter straight-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in metallic blue. The car was inherited by the seller in 2015, and work the following year included rebuilds of the triple SU carburetors as well as a cooling system service. This XKE is offered with an operator’s handbook, a service manual, a tool kit and jack, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. The Series 1 E-Type was equipped with covered headlights and small taillights mounted above slim rear bumpers. This example was reportedly painted its current metallic blue in the 1970s in West Virginia, and the bonnet was resprayed after the car was backed into in 2017 according to the seller. Cracking is noted throughout the passenger side along with rust in the right rear rocker panel.

Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels wear 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw Plus tires, and a matching spare with older Michelin rubber is housed beneath the trunk floor. Braking is handled by Dunlop discs at all four corners, with the rears mounted inboard at the differential. The cockpit features fixed-back bucket seats with lap belts, a passenger-side grab handle, and a wood shift knob. There is a tear on the driver seat outer bolster along with multiple cracks in the dash pad, and the heater controls are inoperable. The twin-cam 3.8L straight-six features triple SU carburetors that are said to have been rebuilt in 2016, when the cooling system was also serviced. The car is said to overheat in Texas weather. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
