This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was distributed through Jaguar Cars New York and resided with owners in Pennsylvania and later Florida, where it was recently acquired by the seller. The car is refinished in red over black leather and powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, triple SU carburetors, covered headlights, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo. Work under the seller’s ownership reportedly consisted of replacing the exhaust headers, headlight gaskets, reverse light housing, headlight switch, hoses, belts, and fuses. This XKE is now offered with service records from the seller, a tool kit, a knock-off hammer, a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Cream and was repainted in its current shade of Carmen Red under previous ownership in 1986. Features include split chrome-finished bumpers with overriders as well as a replacement black soft top, a louvered hood, glass headlight covers, and central dual exhaust outlets. Under the seller’s ownership, the headlight gaskets and reverse light housing were reportedly replaced. A blemish is present on the hood, folding is noted at the jack point, the bottom of the windshield wiper bases show corrosion, and bubbles are observed along the upper edge of the windshield glass.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-off spinners and wear 205/75 Primewell PS850 tires. A matching spare is mounted in the trunk and has corrosion on the spokes. The car is equipped with a fully independent suspension. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, with the rears mounted inboard.

The reupholstered interior features low-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather accompanied by a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Additional appointments include a sliding rear-view mirror as well as a center armrest, a heater, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo. The headlight switch was replaced by the seller. A worn spot is present on the driver’s seat back, and the receptacle for the driver’s seat belt shows rust.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. Auxiliary gauges are housed in the center stack above a row of toggle switches for vehicle functions. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles.

The 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six features triple SU carburetors that are said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership in 2020. Work under the seller’s ownership reportedly consisted of replacing the exhaust headers, coolant hoses, belts, and fuses. The hood stops are rusty.

Cylinder head stamping RA7220-9 corresponds with the engine number listed on the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

A tool kit is included in the sale along with service records from the seller, a knock-off hammer, the removed stereo, a watch, and a fuel log.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
