Sellers comment:
This beautiful 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 1, is a 6 cylinder 3.8L engine vehicle owned by an experienced mechanic(of 23 years), who specializes in English and European cars. The engine has been totally rebuilt 5 years ago and has been driven near 5,000 miles since.
The speedometer reading is at 67,000 miles. A 4-Speed, 2 Door in an Orange/Reddish color.
Starts and runs very well. Mechanically the car is sound solid and does not smoke. This vehicle has a smooth shifting transmission. Air conditioning has been added and is working at a 40% efficiency (some Freon needed). This vehicle has been extremely well taken care of.
This Jaguar is totally rust free and has never been accidented. Chrome finish is overall in very good condition, there are no dents or dings. Original chrome wheels (72 spokes) with Michelin Tires that have 60% tread remaining. Overall the interior is in very good condition. Original wooden steering wheel and dash. The top dash has been recovered in black leather and would need re-doing. Side back windows are below average, noticeable soft scratches.

For someone looking for a concours vehicle, this car is not that far from it. With a little extra loving care this car can be a classic gem!

The car has been imported from Canada by Mr. Knoblich from Hamburg / Germany.
After his death the car has been sold to Sweden in 2007.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
