Car to be at auction Nov. 1st 2015:
www.artcurial.com/en/asp/fullcatalogue.asp
Auctioneer's description:
French registration
Chassis # 885451
Engine No. R3495-8
- Sold new in France
- Rare "flat floor" version
- Recent mechanical work
Having left the factory on January 10, 1962, this Jaguar E-type was sold new by the garage Delecroix Royal Elysee, as can be seen from its Jaguar Heritage Certificate. It is one of the first models of the E Type and features the famous "flat floor" that characterizes them. Blue-grey in colour with a black leather interior, it has undergone a restoration some years ago. We noted an old repair at the right front side of the body. A previous title shows that it belonged to the Brignole collection from 1984 on.
Its current owner acquired the car in 2010. He carried out a mechanical restoration, and, on this occasion, a more powerful starter and an alternator were installed, while the exhaust pipes were replaced. The seats have been redone, and the Michelin tires are in a good condition. A report by an expert dated 2015 indicates that the car is in a good general condition.
This configuration of the 3.8 liters of the Series 1 remains the purest and most desirable of all E Types. Although the convertible offers special pleasure thanks to its open top, aesthetically the coupe is unbeatable, and remains one of the best looking coupes of all times since its launch in 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show. With the version "flat floor" and in LHD, this car is a legend.
Estimation 80 000 - 100 000 € - See more at: www.artcurial.com/en/asp/fullcatalogue.asp

I saw this car at the 2015 Artcurial sale :
Front frame is not original (VIN is stamped on a plate welded on the frame)
