This 1963 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe was reportedly refurbished in the early 2000s and is finished in green over green leather. Power is provided by a replacement 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and features include glass headlight covers, dual carburetors, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in May 2021, and service in preparation for sale reportedly included changing the fluids, tuning the carburetors, overhauling the brakes, and replacing the radiator, alternator, fuel filters, electrical relays, and spark plugs. This Series I XKE is now offered in Florida with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a transferable New York registration describing the car as a 1963 model.
The body was repainted in green during previous ownership, and exterior features include split chrome bumpers, triple windshield wipers, glass headlight covers, and dual exhaust outlets. Blemishes are present in the paint and the chrome.
Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 185-section Avon tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, and the selling dealer states that replacement calipers, rotors, and braided stainless hoses were installed in preparation for sale.
The cabin is trimmed in green and features textured aluminum trim on the dashboard and center console. The low-back bucket seats wear replacement leather covers, and additional features include lap belts with Jaguar logos, crank-operated windows, and a wood shift knob.
The wood-rim steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, though the true mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.8-liter inline-six was installed during previous ownership, and the selling dealer states that service in preparation for the sale included tuning the dual Stromberg carburetors, changing the fluids, and replacing the radiator, alternator, and spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
The chassis tag is missing, and the frame has been re-stamped.
A copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate is included in the sale.
A collection of spares, including wiring looms, carburetors, and a PerTronix distributor, will also accompany the car. The car is located in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age, and is being sold with its most recent registration documents.

Lot #154544
This 1963 Jaguar XKE Series I coupe was repainted green and fitted with a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six under prior ownership. The car was purchased by the current owner after it was listed on BaT in January 2022, and subsequent refurbishment work has included interior repairs, rear suspension and fuel-system overhauls, a rebuild of the clutch master cylinder, and installation of a RetroSound stereo, an aluminum radiator, and triple SU carburetors. The car also has four-wheel disc brakes, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, GAZ adjustable shocks, glass headlight covers, and a stainless-steel dual exhaust system. This Series I XKE is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate copy, service records, spare parts, and a clean Michigan title.
The body was repainted in green during previous ownership, and exterior features include split chrome bumpers, triple windshield wipers, glass headlight covers, and dual exhaust outlets. There are paint and chrome blemishes noted in close-up photos provided in the gallery below.
Dayton chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 185-section Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, and adjustable GAZ shocks have been installed. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, and service in 2023 included repairing the rear suspension mounting points and replacing the inner tie rods as well as the shock-absorber and pivot-rod bushings.
The cabin is trimmed in green and features textured aluminum trim on the dashboard and center console. The low-back bucket seats wear replacement leather covers and lap belts with Jaguar logos. The door panels, center console upholstery, and carpet padding were replaced in 2023 and a Bluetooth-capable RetroSound stereo was installed.
The wood-rim steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles, under 300 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was installed during previous ownership and was fitted with triple SU carburetors in 2023. A Howe aluminum radiator was also installed under current ownership, and the fuel pump, fuel tank, and fuel lines were repaired.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The clutch master cylinder was rebuilt and the differential seals were replaced in 2023, and the car has a stainless-steel ClassicFabs exhaust system.
Images showing various stages of the work performed following the current owner’s acquisition are presented in the gallery.
A reproduction chassis tag has been installed, and the frame has been re-stamped.
A copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate displays factory colors and equipment as well as a manufacture date in March 1962. The certificate notes that the body and chassis number do not align.
