Ebay item 1/9/15
1369wk.com
The car has its original engine, head, differential, radio and, most importantly, its "ORIGINAL SERIAL PLATE". It pains me on how many restored E-Types have re-stamped serial tags. It is the cars birth certificate, yet many go for shiny & new plates and mysteriously most of the time, the original is conveniently misplaced. Included in the sale are the original Dunlop 4 wheels and vintage tires that came on the car. the original distributor and the very rare early screw jack pictured as well as the original owners manual(not a re-print). There is also a custom matching red car cover and a box filled with trophies and awards.
As noted in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, 1962 Jaguar E-Type FHC #885974 was delivered to Arizona resident M.C. Donaldson at the Jaguar factory on 5/1/1962 with UK registration 1369WK. We believe this car to have resided in Arizona its entire life, having participated in Central Arizona Jaguar Club events in 1978 and 1979 and then purchased by Paradise Valley resident Richard Delafield in 2002. Between 2002 and 2004 #885974 underwent a fully documented (photos and receipts) bare metal, nut and bolt restoration by Jaguar specialist Bill Richert in Phoenix and won first in class at JCNA Concours in 2004 and 2005. In 2008, the car was acquired by Roy Kaller who enlisted the help of Jaguar specialist Gregory Nel at British Automotive in Scottsdale to maintain the vehicle to a very high standard as confirmed by another first in class JCNA Concours win in 2010.
While restored to show and win in the JCNA D02 "Driven" class, this E-Type has received significant updates to ensure that it is a superb and highly reliable rally and touring car. Enhancements include: Tremec 5-Speed transmission (original "Moss Box" included) with lightweight flywheel, 15X6 tubeless wire wheels, SPAX adjustable dampers, adjustable front reaction plate, electronic distributor, aluminum radiator and surge tank, electric cooling fan, Jet-Hot ceramic coated exhaust manifold, and later series one brake booster.
