Current bid $10,096 reserve not met, 10 bids, 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be located in Costa Mesa, California. However same photos as above offering. The car has the small California model/year tag just below the data plate) indicating that the complete VIN is J63886794
Sellers description:
This is an original Southern California E-Type that was placed in storage back when Jimmy Carter was president. The car has an absolutely fabulous rust-free body. All the doors, front bonnet, and rear deck lid have never been off the car. This blesses the car with perfect shut lines. It has never been hit. The front nose is in excellent condition. The underside and floors are beautiful. Most of the chrome including the wire wheels is still in a very nice condition. All numbers match. The original color of this car was Opalescent Blue, which has never been painted over in the engine compartment and floors and interior parts. Outside of the body, was painted in the early 1970's in a neutral color. Of course, the car needs to be painted. However, it would be very easy to take the car back to its original color. Early E-Type's Series I Coupes are getting harder and harder to find and here is a wonderful chance to purchase an honest and very good car, which will only appreciated in value with years.
