Car to be at auction 11/19

www.osenat.com/lot/100222/11031231

Auction description:

Lot 137

1963 JAGUAR E Type Coupe 3.8L

Serial number 889198

Engine number RA 3543-9

Body number V6484

Gearbox number EB 11404 JS

Only two owners

Original Webasto roof

French gray card

This Jaguar Type E Coupe Series 1 3.8L came out of the chains on September 16, 1963. It was then cream and had a red interior. It was delivered by the Jaguar dealership in New York on October 21, 1963, already equipped with a webasto sunroof perfectly laid. In 1985, Type E was repainted in English green and the cabin was redone in beige. Always stored in a garage, the car was then refitted in 1989. It was recently restarted in the state of the art with an overhaul of the car. His bodywork was very good against the weather, like his cockpit, all did not require work and his presentation is excellent, including adjustments. Today, the car has matching numbers between its box, engine, chassis and body, all confirmed by Jaguar Heritage. It displays 60,000 miles on the clock and its engine works very well, something confirmed by very good compression rates. This is a very nice copy of the most beautiful coupé in the world, having had only two owners and a history without a hitch, but above all, it is the version 3.8L, in other words, the most sought after, especially for its bucket seats so special!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
