This 1964 Jaguar XKE is a Series I coupe that underwent a refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition in February 1995. The car is finished in black over gray leather and is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, chrome wire wheels, triple SU carburetors, and four-wheel disc brakes. Service in preparation for the sale included replacing the hoses, spark plugs, and battery, cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, and changing the fluids. This Series I coupe is now offered with an additional set of wheels and tires, spare parts, service records, repair manuals, a Jaguar Vehicle Information Record, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted in the original black during previous ownership. Additional exterior details include chrome bumpers and trim, glass headlight covers, a louvered hood, and polished central exhaust outlets. The paintwork and exterior trim are shown up close in the photo gallery below.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels feature winged knockoffs and are mounted with 195/70 Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires. The car rides on four-wheel independent, and stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners. The steering column bushings were reportedly replaced in preparation for the sale.

Originally red, the cabin was reupholstered in gray leather during the refurbishment and features matching carpets and door panels. Features include chrome fittings and switchgear, an upholstered cargo area with rubber-lined rails, and pop-out rear vent windows.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 3.8-liter inline-six is fed by triple SU carburetors that were cleaned and adjusted in preparation for the sale. Additional service performed for the sale reportedly included adjusting the valve clearances, performing an oil change and coolant flush, and replacing the following components:

Coolant hoses

Heater hoses

Spark plugs, leads, and ignition points

Carburetor jet diaphragms

Engine mounts

Battery

The engine block stamping RA4619-9 matches the engine number listed on the chassis plate and Jaguar Vehicle Information Record.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller states that the gear oil was changed in preparation for the sale, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.

The Jaguar Vehicle Information Record shows the factory colors, drive train numbers, and the build date. Service records, repair manuals, spare parts, and a spare set of painted wire wheels are included in the sale.
