Shown on eBay as a wreck: seller says:

Vehicle Description

Here is a 1964 Jaguar XKE 3.8 Series 1 Coupe for restoration or a great parts Car.We found the ID # 890414 on the Picture frame and reaserch indicated that this car is a 1964 3.8 Coupe. We obtained this from a collector who abandoned his efforts to restore this car and left it in poor storage. The Bad features are that the car is RUSTY.The outer sills on both side are shot as well as the trunk floor and the interior floorboards are bad.The bottom of the Bonnet has some rust holes but in one piece. The doors also have rust but open and shut fine. However the inner sills and bulkhead are somewhat OK.The Roof has an Aftermarket Sunroof installed and it has rust near the front corner. Some time in its working life a NON Jaguar motor and Gearbox were installed and there has been some alterations to the side motor frames and the front picture frame. Please look at the photos to see the modifications. The better points are the Rear End ,Steering, Brakes and Front Suspension are all in tact. The body has all its lights lenses and bumpers. The car does not appear to have been wrecked as all panels seem to line up OK and the Bonnet seems to open and close fine. All the Glass is there, unbroken, even the hatch glass included but not shown. There is not much left in the interior except the dash, with original guages and the original wooden steering wheel but it is in poor condition, sorry no Tach.or Spedo..The seats are from a Jaguar Series 1.5 with an adjustable rake. They are original leather but have some rips and splits. As we indicated before this is a great parts car or advanced restoration. We have NO Title so it is sold AS IS with a Bill of sale.

Even in this sad state of condition it is still an awesome looking automobile

I am the new owner and am in the process of returning it to the road as original as possible, still collecting parts

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
