Current bid $10,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Classic E type Series I 3.8 Coupe. The most desirable E type Coupe made. Original car with a repaint in Red with newer black leather interior. Chrome wire wheels. Much recent work done including front end work, new interior, hoses , belts, fuel pump, brake hoses, brake lines, tie rods, steering rack boots, generator rebuild, tune up, etc. Looks and runs well. Older repaint in good shape with a few chips. New door and windshield rubber. Excellent tires. Original spec leather interior kit and carpet replaced in the recent past. Runs and drives well, however we noticed in a recent test a slip in the clutch upon some hard driving a couple of times indicating a clutch that will eventually need replacing. This is not a restored car, however it appears to be a good driver that also is in good cosmetic condition. Solid floorboards on both sides. some evidence of an old repair to the driver's side. Good chrome thoughout. No evidence of accident damage to the front as is so often the case on these cars.
I have seen a repair on the driver's side front corner of the flooboard Otherwise just a small bubble on the sill. I have seen no other evidence of repairs or rust. Overall it seems to be a very solid original car that has been just maintained, not restored. The car is located in Oklahoma City right off I 235 and britton road. I do not have any records before the early 90's so I cannot be sure of an engine rebuild, however it looks like the motor has been out at some point.
