Vin number 890545, a professionally sorted and built xke vintage racer!!!The beauty is that it is also street legal and a total blast to drive ,race or show ! I have owned dozens of jags and all other types of exotic cars old and new and i am bored with the rows of totally restored show cars that you can't really drive hard for fear of a paint chip, wreck etc and since i really wanted to be a race car driver but never was i figure that this is the next best thing . Regretfully i am also a car dealer and have to sell my dream car!! now i know how it must feel to sell your prized show goat at the slaughter house but here goes . This is a super clean NO RUST 64 e type with the original motor in it and super straight original body, it has a super strong 3.8 motor with later synchro 4 speed that runs ad drives better than any etype i have ever had, it has complete polyurethane suspension bushings ,custom adjustable sway bars front and back, wilwood ventillated rotors calipers etc, custom air ducts for cooling brakes and rear end, racing side dump exhaust that sounds awesome with noise restrictors, racing roll bar, racing seat,on board fire system, steering wheel, puke tanks,6 high dollar adjustable coil over shocks, super rare dunlop or whatever brand racing spline drive wheels, comp ta on off road tires, professional fuel cell, pro type electric fuel pump, racing clutch, etc etc but it still has all excellent glass and the windows all work perfect, with great ride and road manners for brisk daily driving, it must have been built around 1980 s in my opinion and maybe some one on here can tell me more about my car, i did not build it, i bought it already done at an auction sale and wow it is great!! I do not have any real history on this car but there are stickers on here that say vscda, vintage sportscar drivers association, waterford hills road racing, oakland county it is number 38e so i assume that meant e production, the firebottle date is 1990, the racing seat belts expired in 04 which they were obviously manufactured earlier. This car is as far as you can go and still use it on the street but it would be nothing to paint it add new bumpers and put a factory carpet set and door panels and enjoy it as a concourse type car, i have never seen a better body although it does have a bump in the front of the bonnet that is really a nothing to fix. this car starts right up all exterior lights work the original wiring is great etc it was originally marroon it apears to have been painted many years ago in the current red and the paint is faded and rough but looks right for the car , this car is no sissy !!! I don't know what the value is and neither does any one else so you must decide for yourself but from my experience it might be worth a lot, it has a clear michigan title and it should pass safety inspection but that is not a guarantee, this is a 45 year old race car!!! it is a little tough to get in and out of the race seat and i would be interested in buying a series one seat if it does not sell thanks see you in the paddock!!! the speedo and tach and all gauges work no overheating and the speedo shows 69,192 i don't know if that is original or not.
