This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was purchased new and picked up via European delivery by the previous owner. The car was acquired by the seller four years ago, reportedly following approximately three decades in storage. Power is from a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in off-white with a black soft top over black leather upholstery. Features include a black removable hardtop, a Philips push-button AM/FM radio, dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, and knock-off wire wheels. Work in 2021 is said to have consisted of replacement of the fuel tank, power steering rack, battery, and brake and clutch master cylinders. This XKE is being offered with a black tonneau cover, a tool kit, delivery paperwork, service records, manufacturer’s literature, UK license plates, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Cream, the car features a louvered hood, a black soft top, and dual exhaust outlets. The soft top window is yellowed, and various scratches, paint chips, and areas of pitting on the brightwork are present, along with a cracked driver-side front turn signal lens and a dent on the passenger-side of the hood.

Polished 15” wire wheels are secured by knock-off spinners and mounted with 185-width Michelin tires. A full-size spare is found in the trunk. Braking is through four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears. The seller notes that the power steering rack and brake master cylinder were replaced in 2021.

The cabin houses seats trimmed in black leather with a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes a Philips push-button AM/FM radio, lap belts, a central armrest, analog clock, and rocker switches for vehicle functions. The seat upholstery shows tears, cracks, and seam separation and the center console trim is discolored.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and a suite of auxiliary instrumentation in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 36k miles, only a handful of which were added by the seller.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. The seller notes that the battery, fuel tank, and clutch master cylinder were replaced in 2021.

The included export delivery paperwork displays the vehicle’s engine, chassis, and UK registration numbers. A photo of the car taken in the UK upon delivery is included.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the factory colors and identifications numbers along with delivery to the UK.

Lot #132564

This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that was picked up via European delivery by the original owner before being brought to the US. The car is said to have spent three decades in storage before being purchased by the previous owner in April 2018, and was subsequently acquired by the seller on BaT in January 2023. Power is supplied by a 4.2-liter inline-six equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, while shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission. The bucket seats were fitted with headrests and re-trimmed in black leather in 2023, and further work under current ownership has involved repainting the accompanying removable hardtop, refurbishing the convertible top, rebuilding the carburetors, and re-coring the radiator. This XKE is now offered in Rhode Island with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, delivery paperwork, service records, a tool kit, UK license plates, and a clean Montana title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Cream and features a louvered clamshell hood as well as a driver-side mirror and wraparound chrome bumpers with overriders. The convertible top frame was rebuilt and fitted with a replacement black soft top and top boot under current ownership. Further work has included repairing a dent on the passenger-side of the hood as well as replacing the weatherstripping and driver-side front turn signal lens.

Polished 15” wire wheels secured by knock-off spinners are mounted with 185-width Michelin tires, and a full-size spare is stored in the trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units. The power steering rack and brake master cylinder were reportedly replaced in 2021, while work in 2023 has included inspecting the ball joints and repairing the parking brake.

The bucket seats were refurbished under current ownership including the addition of headrests and replacement black leather upholstery. Further work involved re-covering the dash topper as well as replacing the dash switches, dash surround, door panels, insulation, carpets, and mats. Equipment includes a Philips push-button AM/FM radio, a center console, and lap belts. The seller notes that the clock is inaccurate.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline accompanied by a 160-mph speedometer and a suite of centrally mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the seller.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The battery and fuel tank were reportedly replaced under previous ownership in 2021. Work in 2023 involved rebuilding the carburetors, cleaning and re-coring the radiator, and replacing the engine mounts, oil pressure sender, and heater core along with various lines and hoses.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. A replacement clutch master cylinder was reportedly installed under previous ownership in 2021, and the chassis was lubricated in July 2023. The dual exhaust system features polished outlets and the hangers are noted to have been replaced as needed during current ownership.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the factory colors and identification numbers along with “personal export delivery” to the UK. A photo of the car taken in the UK upon delivery can be seen in the gallery in addition to export delivery paperwork that displays the vehicle’s engine, chassis, and UK registration numbers.

A black-finished removable hardtop is included in the sale along with replacement weatherstripping and chrome trim pieces. The rear window is clouded and shows scratches.
