Sellers description:
Beautiful 1969 Jaguar XKE roadster. I am listing this Series II, 4.2 Liter, British Racing Green, E Type Jaguar for my brother. He, like me, is an avid vintage car enthusiast who has owned and babied this car for 10 years - including annual service visits to the premier local European car facility. They would inspect the car, change the fluids, and do whatever was needed to keep it in perfect running order prior to the summer driving season.
This car is in exceptional condition, as the pictures and videos demonstrate. The chassis, body, engine, and leather interior were cosmetically refreshed during the 90's by the first two owners and look terrific. No known or visible rust on the car. The Jag has been garaged and covered in a heated building and only used for local driving and car shows, including charity events. It has won several awards. The 43895 miles showing on the speedometer are believed to be original. It has traveled only 1,500 miles in the past 10 years and less than 5,000 miles in the last 25 years. Car, Body, and Engine numbers are correct.
A partial list of enhancements within the last 5,000 miles include:
transmission overhaul
new clutch
lightweight alloy flywheel (original comes with the car)
chassis, body, and engine repaint
re-chrome bumpers
new shock absorbers
carburetors rebuilt
dual electric cooling fans (car runs nice and cool)
electronic ignition
recent stainless steel high flow exhaust system
chrome wire wheels (72 spoke)
Michelin X redline tires (185x15)
new tonneau and boot
tripod headlights
Series I knockoff hubs
new radio, speakers, and power antenna (Phillips AM/FM)
custom his/hers leather luggage (biscuit) by Taris Charysyn
