Car returns to ebay 1/20/05 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $5,655.55 (Reserve not met), 2 bids, 4 days left in auction. Car is still in Henderson, Nevada.
Sellers description:
The ownership history of this Jaguar is mostly unknown since the collector we acquired it from had purchased it from a well know Las Vegas auto collection dealer. The restoration history is brief but we also know that is was very high quality workmanship. The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago according to our records and the previous owners statements. We are not sure about the time frame of the paint works but the finish is still fresh and beautiful.
The tires are like brand new. Interior is outstanding. The car drives smoothly even at high speeds. The mufflers, shocks, springs and the front end appears to all be new. According to statements from our previous owners it was all replaced as well. The floor pans are the best we have ever seen on a Jaguar XKE. This car is not a trailer queen, it is a driver of the highest quality.
The service history of this vehicle is as an enthusiast would have it. The entire fuel system has recently been repaired and replaced. A complete tune up and overall extreme mechanical and physical inspection has taken place to make this car the very best we can.
The Air Conditioning blow ice cold and all of the electrical components perform properly except for the clock and it looks like the fuel gauge is also inoperative. The body is absolutely beautiful as is the paint and all of the chrome. The exhaust system is stunning. The vehicle shows no signs of rust anywhere we could inspect. We obviously put the car in the air and inspected the undercarriage intensely and found nothing cancerous what so ever. The interior is beautiful as well. No major damage or rips. The windshield is beautiful. The side and rear windows have been tinted and look very nice with the color combination of the Jaguar. The paint is an exceptional and extreme high quality finish and shows only a few minor road blemishes. You will be able to see them in our close up photos.
This vehicle has been in a private ownership and is just waiting to be shown and enjoyed by the masses of automobile connoisseurs. You'll note throughout the pictures that the undercarriage is in stunning condition. We found no signs of any major issues on this gem. This vehicle is ready to ride and drive anywhere.

Car returns to ebya 7/25/06 Hemmings.com has many prices quoted from $17,000 to $48,000 but one similar to mine seems to be in the $23,000-$24,000 range. This car is a great driver in superb condition and deserves a higher price. However, I think that around $23,000 would be a reasonable price for this unique vechicle. So, lets make that the buy now price and the reserve, slightly lower. I have found that although the wire wheel XKE’s are more popular and have added value, I believe that for 1969, the turbo chrome disc wheels were an optional extra, spokes were just standard. I must admit that if you need to change a tyre these are much more practical. Also, you will never to have to worry about an “out of true” spoke. The original jack, service manual and excellent Chrome turbo disc spare is included. No other tools come with the car.
