Opening bid $39,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 9 days left in auction. 58k miles.

Sellers description:
I bought the car from the company that did the restoration. Rick Morgan of R.W. Morgan Co., Inc. of Olyphant, Pennsylvania spent 3 to 4 years doing the restoration in his facilities. He bought the car to keep himself, however, he is the kind of person who would not drive the car for fear of getting a chip on the under body! I bought the car in October 2005, kept garaged and under cover, never driven in the rain or expressways, super highways or turnpikes. A drive once in a while on some country roads, and kept in show condition. There are no chips and the metal work is smooth with no waves or ripples, and is better than when she was built in June 1969! Under this Jag there is never a drop of anything on the floor, absolutely dry! Has the original full tool kit and jack, the bag is new. I made some upgrades which include a wood facia center panel, and of course the hand canned original Jag steering wheel, seen in the pictures, with 12 coats of polyurethane. The only E-Type in the world with such a wheel, everyone who sees it asks. This wheel has the feel of glass! Notice the stained and polyurethane finish on the lead wheel spinner hammer and the spinner wood knock off fitting. The striking ends of this piece have been fitted with polished aluminum to protect the finish, if ever used. You will also notice that there are four rear exhaust pipes the sound is incredable! Shifts and runs better than new, she is a pleasure to drive.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
