I have owned this car for 30 years. I am a Machine Shop owner and I have worked as a semi professional Jaguar mechanic for 40 years. I have fully restored a 420 G Salon; a 12 Cylinder Vandem Plus; a 6 Cylinder Vandem Plus and innumerable engines and transmissions. I am presently restoring a 1967 E Type Roadster and I have a 12 Cylinder 1987 XJS that I drive in the summers.

This 1971 XKE 2+2 has less than 1000 miles on a fully rebuilt engine. I also replaced the break pistons with Stainless Steel ones to eliminate their irritating tendency to rust. The engine is equipped with a Spark 2000 relay that provides a high performance spark at speeds over 100 miles per hour and it also has three S.V. Carburators.

The original leather upholstery is in good condition. There is no rust in the body and the paint is original and has been kept in good condition. The chrome spoke wheels and the tire rubber are in good condition. I have rebuilt the brakes, drive train and many other items all of which have less than 1000 miles on them. ( had to install new speedometer including odometer due to damaged cable during engine removal. New odometer only shows about 1000 miles)

I have driven this car occasionally over the years. Never in winter. It is plated and has passed inspection in the past. I will have it re inspected supply temporary plates and guarantee road worthiness to a serious buyer.
