For your consideration is my 1970 XKE. I purchased preowned in 1977. This was my wife's car and a weekend car. It has always been garaged, never wrecked. In my younger years I originally wanted to restore the vehicle, but never seemed to have the time as I traveled extensively in my career, so the vehicle has spent most of its life in the garage.

The interior was completely professionally replaced, imported English Connolly leather package on seats. The exterior was stripped and repainted and most of the rubber parts replaced. Other items were also done over the years, but I do not recall them all.

I am now at an age where I have the time, but no longer have the incentive, interest or health to pursue a restoration project so it is time to pass this grand old car on to someone that has the need for a Classic. Hopefully the photos will give you a good indication of general condition. The engine, transmission, drive train were all in good condition when the car was last driven, but that has been a number of years ago as it has remained covered in storage.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
