Ebay item 10/8/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-/371756385764
Current bid US $5,555 reserve not met 6 bids 6 days left in auction, seller kurttannermotorcars, 46k miles.
Sellers description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS is this amazingly original, preserved, low-mileage E-type. This car was recently purchased from only it's second owner in Thousand Oaks, California. The car is completely original, having never been painted or retrimmed, and has been sitting in a garage, off the road, for the last 9 years.
The car's body is excellent and totally rustfree. There are the usual small dings and scrapes which chronicle the car's 46 years of life. The passenger door has sustained some minor damage, but only to that panel for repair's sake.
The car's interior trim is completely original and could use some repairs. Most of the trim is very decent and usable, with an exceptional dash facia and a decent top pad. The leather on the seat bottoms has deteriorated.
The car's original engine turns over on a battery and will fire up on a can of ether. It needs a fuel pump. The engine and transmission oils/fluids are very clean and up to the mark. The brake pedal is down and would need some attention. I'm sure with some easy mechanical recommissioning/sorting out, the car would make a nice driver...
Overall, this hugely original Jaguar E-type is a rare find in this untouched and unmolested state. It has lived in one the kindest environments for an automobile, here in Southern California for all of it's life. It is an excellent preservation car to be used and taken care of as is, with some minor cosmetic improvements.
