1970 Jaguar KXE Coupe 2+2 Fixed Head, 6 cylinder, 4.2l engine
Golden sand with beige interior
One California owner. Car is highly original and has been well taken care of, and stored exclusively covered in garage. Recently restored to very good condition as detailed below.
Cylinder heads were backdated to series 1.5 3.8l with original 4.2 cylinder included with car. Air filters are also included but are not installed. Needs air box/filter assembly, timing and some tuning of middle carburetor.
Extensive service and restoration records, including pink, pink slip
Manuals and technical books included.
Extra set of G.W. Bartlett Made in England leathers.
No accidents to body – none of the body metal has been reworked (pics exist)
2 sets of keys
Recent renovations include:
Brake fluid has been flushed and replaced
Clutch master cylinder has been replaced/re-bled
Engine oil replaced
Engine flushed twice
New spark plugs
New ignition coil
Leads have been cleaned with new dialectic grease
Valve clearance has been checked
Carburetors have been cleaned with floats set
All electrical wires work
Both fans work
Radiator has been flushed and refilled properly
Gas tank has been newly replaced
Fuel filler neck has been recoated with fuel resistant paint
All lines for charcoal canister breather circuit have been redone
Steel wire wheels have been restored
Brakes have been checked and are working properly
Suspension system is sound
Water pump is working properly
Thermostat functions properly
All interior pieces have been tightened to minimize squeaks and rattles
New Lucas fuel pump
All fuel lines thoroughly flushed
Radio antennae motor has been rebuilt and works
Radio and all electronics work properly.
Brand new battery
Blower motor works for heat
Vacuum pump has been tested, with vacuum held for 72 hours
Power steering lines need to be replaced
A/C system needs to be resealed
