Current bid $6,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
a beautiful 1970 Jaguar E Type XKE 4.2L 6 Cyl. 4 speed automatic and factory A/C with 42,453 miles. This is the one of the 4,000 ever made. This Jaguar is an all-original car, which has been stored for past 8 month in garage. It was in perfect and running condition before I took carburetor a part for cleaning 3 weeks ago. I put everything back but it is need a new carburetor kit and tune up to start the engine. The rest all electrical working fine. All belts and houses was replaced 2 years ago. Clean engine with a little rust on the side of the block which can be remove with rust cleaner. Engine is very strong and turns the same as automatic transmission. A/C works and blows cold air but needs to fix A/C on/off switch. Paint in good fare condition. Previous owner freshly repainted it 5 years ago. Interior still all original and in fare condition. Chrome need to be polished but still looks good. I also took a part original “Philips” radio and fixed, it is working now but need to be put back in to the car. Also took the both side morrows for rechroming but they still ok. Also it is need two new tail pipes and mufflers, they are all rusted due to Florida weather.
Wire wheels in good condition.
New 3 rows radiator, which cost me $530 and new original Jaguar steering wheel and hub for $850.
I have over $20K in receipts.
All around car looks very good for 34 years old car.
I had this car for almost 4 years and drove only on weekends. I have all history of this car from the first day it was sold including all information from the original owner. I have all books and documents. This is 100% Florida car and never been outside the state. Never been in accidents. I will also include the original British style license plate and all parts catalog, which I got for replacement parts and restoration process. This car is good restoration project.

This 1970 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 was produced on May 18, 1970, and originally distributed via British Leyland of New York. It was refurbished in the 1990s, and work following the seller’s 2018 acquisition involved refreshing the 4.2-liter inline-six and the three-speed automatic transmission, rebuilding the dual carburetors, and replacing components for the suspension, braking, power steering, and air conditioning systems. Finished in yellow over beige leather, the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Philips push-button radio. This XKE 2+2 is now offered with Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificates, manuals, service records, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Pale Primrose, the car was refinished in its current shade of yellow in the 1990s. Exterior equipment includes sealed-beam open headlights, dual side mirrors, wraparound chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.
Wire 15″ wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. Work following the seller’s acquisition involved installing a rebuilt power steering pump and replacing the power steering rack, brake calipers, rear rotors, control arms, tie rods, and suspension bushings.
The 2+2 cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in beige leather in addition to a Philips AM/FM/shortwave radio and a locking glovebox. Components for the air conditioning system were replaced in 2019. Damage to the rear seats is visible.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, while an analog clock and auxiliary gauges are housed in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was overhauled in 2019, and work involved rebuilding the carburetors and distributor in addition to replacing the valves, timing chain, fuel tank, and fuel pump. The water pump, alternator, and starter motor were also replaced.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission was also refreshed in 2019.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate lists production numbers and colors.
