*Plenty of V-12 Grunt
*The final iteration of the legendary Jaguar E-Type
This beautifully preserved Series III V12 E-Type 2+2 was completed at the Browns Lane Jaguar factory in April of 1972. The powerful Coupe would form part of the prominent Swiss-based collection of Mr. Claude Imhoof for decades, before being acquired by the consignor in 2017. Today the Jaguar remains in largely original condition, retaining much of its original Biscuit leather interior, brightwork, and possibly parts of the Fawn exterior color as well. The powerful 5.3-Liter V-12 engine pulls the sporting 2+2 Coupe forwards through the optional 3-speed automatic transmission, ideal for effortless touring. This Jaguar's charming patina and originality deserves a close look and serious consideration.

For sale at Cathedral Classics of Bielefeld for 59,995 euros. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.cathedral-classics.com/car/jaguar-e-type/
This well travelled E Type has lived on both sides of the pond - twice. It is clearly an older restoration but still displays an honest level of quality. Our Series 3 2+2 Coupe was originally shipped to Florida in 1972 where it spent the majority of its life. Interestingly it was in Basel in Switzerland from 1990 to 1993 with insurance and emissions documents confirming this European period. It then moves back to Florida before being sold by Bonhams Auction House in March 2019. It first went to Denmark and was then purchased by a German collector in 2020. who completed a full historic status German registration.
Finished in seldom seen Ascot Fawn, which may be an acquired taste for some; it is paired to a Cinnamon interior. It has been resprayed in some areas, a paint tester shows some paintwork is thin so it was done some time ago. No filler is evident and the roof, rear door and rear wings are still in the original paint. The car is still in remarkable condition and both sills have been replaced. All chrome and brightwork are in super condition and need no attention. A new windscreen was fitted at some stage and some restoration done.
The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms this is a matching numbers car, chassis number UC1S73228BW, engine 7S6788SA, body 4S54499, gearbox 11475. The odometer indicates 2284 miles, which is clearly a realistic 102,284 miles from the tidy engine bay. Once warm, its strong, responsive with a smooth gear change from a well documented powerhouse that, when running well, is incomparable. Oil pressure is strong under power and at tick-over. The rear suspension has recently been overhauled, and the previous owner fitted a high performance radiator and new water pump.
