Ebay item 1/18/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $49,500, no reserve, no bids yet 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Beautiful British Racing Green roadster with Cinnamon (Tan) leather interior and black canvas top and boot cover. The upholstery, top, and boot cover are new. The car is equipped with chrome wire wheels.
Powered by a 5.3 litre V12 engine, this car is equipped with power-steering, disc brakes, independent rear suspension, and a 4-speed manual transmission. Only 48,000 miles on the tach, believed to be correct. The car certainly feels and drives like it. These engines are silky-smooth, very under-stressed, and can last forever. The paint, upholstery, and overall condition of the care are excellent. Originally, a California car, I have owned it in Idaho for over 16 years and the car is rust-free. It has needed nothing but normal maintenance while I've owned it, or before, to my knowledge.
Starting in 1973, E-types were equipped with rather unsightly rubber over-riders on the front bumpers to conform to changing US safety regulations. On this car I have changed them out to the smaller chrome ones found on earlier models, and still used on the rear bumpers in 1973. Much better looking and the change-out was a simple bolt-on and non-structural. The original over-riders are included and can easily be remounted in the unlikely event a new owner wanted to.
One of the all-time classic cars, this is a beautiful example that has been well maintained.
