Ebay item 6/21/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $5,100.00 (Reserve not met), 2 bids, 6 days left in auction. 83k miles.

Sellers description:
Excellent daily driver. This 1973 E-Type Roadster looks and runs great. The car was painted two years ago in Viper Red and the seats have been re-stuffed for a comfortable ride. All four carburetors have been overhauled and set-up to run smooth. The 5.3L V-12 power plant allows this car to purr on the highway. Mated with a four speed manual transmission, this car has plenty of get-up-n-go. This car has not been sitting longer than a winter season, and it fires-up every spring with rare issues. It has proven to be a reliable and enjoyable car to drive. This car is not entirely original, however, the engine and transmission are original and were rebuilt less than 10,000 km ago. I'm sure the winner of this auction will have years of enjoyment from this car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
