This 1973 Jaguar E-Type is a red-over-red Series III roadster that is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, air conditioning, a Craig AM/FM cassette stereo, quad exhaust outlets, four-wheel disc brakes, chrome-finished 15″ Cragar Star Wire wheels, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The car was acquired by the seller in June 2021, and subsequent work included replacement of the front brake rotors and shocks as well as the fuel pump, oxygen sensor, heater box, and ignition components. This Series III E-Type roadster is now offered with partial service records and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in red and equipped with a black soft top, a black convertible top boot, V12 badging, exposed headlights, quad exhaust outlets, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The seller states that the rear bumper was repainted under current ownership to repair heat damage.
Chrome-finished 15″ Cragar Star Wire wheels were installed during current ownership and are mounted with 205/75 Regul 3 tires. The car is equipped with power steering as well as front and rear independent suspension, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units. Work performed since 2021 included replacement of the front brake rotors, shocks, and bushings as well as the front and rear control arm bushings and ball joints. Peeling chrome is visible on the wheels.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in red leather, color-coordinated door panels, and a contrasting black dashboard. Equipment includes a Kienzle clock, a Craig AM/FM cassette stereo, air conditioning, a wood shift knob, and black rubber floor mats.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, while auxiliary gauges are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows just under 45k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank along with quad Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The seller notes that a battery cut-off switch has been installed due to a battery drain, and additional work performed under current ownership included replacement of the following parts:
Fuel pump
Oxygen sensor
Heater box
Ignition rotor
Ballast resistor
Distributor cap
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
