'E' type Jaguars are always a pleasure to offer for sale as they are one of the definitive British sports cars. Today's example is a 1974 V12 roadster with the automatic transmission which was originally supplied overseas. On its return to the U.K. in 1989 it was subjected to a detailed restoration programme which saw it converted from left hand drive to its present right hand drive format.
The present owner and vendor has cherished this car for over ten years and during that time it has only been used occasionally through the summer months and it has always given very good and reliable open top motoring.
It has chrome wire wheels and the recorded mileage on the odometer shows only 59000 which is believed to be the correct mileage from new. Good examples of the 'E' Type are now becoming harder to find and this one will surely prove an irresistible opportunity for someone today.

After owning the car for four years the previous owner sold it in April 2016. Originally sold in New York and brought back to the UK in 1989 when it was converted to RHD. The odometer reads 71.000 miles; the engine was rebuilt about 6,000 miles ago, the gearbox 4,000 miles ago and the electronic ignition replaced 500 miles ago. It has had a new battery fitted recently, the oil filter and coolant changed and new oil pressure and temperature senders fitted.
Equipped with chrome wire wheels and almost new tyres, it has a CD player, stainless steel exhaust and halogen lights. Oil pressure at tick over is 30psi and around 60-80 psi at 2,000rpm. The previous owner bought the car from the E Type Centre. It has not been out in the wet or damp for 25 years, hence no rust; it only goes outwith the roof down. It is very reliable and looks and drives beautifully, a car to be enjoyed, it has an mot until 17 April 2017.
