Sellers description:
Very straight, rust free and mechanically sound Jaguar. Nice original color combination, smooth auto trans and factory air. Both sets of wheels with original hubs. Motor ,trans, etc all original to car. Priced well below comprable cars so I can quickly finance a new project.
Exterior:
Overall very good original condition. Respray 8 years ago, but still looks very fresh. All weatherstripping replaced at that time. Original chrome bumpers and brightwork in good condition. European overriders were installed in place of the original rubber. All trim, lenses, etc in very good condition. Vinyl top was rarely used and looks great.
Interior:
Overall very clean with no cracks, fadeing or tears. The seats were refitted in leather at time of the repaint and are still like new. All switches and gauges work. Original Air conditioning system intact, but needs to be charged to blow colder.
Mechanical:
Overall this has been a great driver, very smooth 12 cylinder nice to take long drives. Low mileage drivetrain and Transmission shifts as it should and the carbs are synced up nicely. The suspension is very well sorted providing a tight ride for an older car. Has been well maintained during the 10 years I have owned it. Does leak a bit when parked for long periods, but once is driven regularly it does much better. 57k miles.

Car has a buy it now price of $74,500 for 29 days, seller acarnut, 58k miles, car now said to be in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Seller's description:
I have been around Jaguar e-types for all my life, plus I am a Jaguar Concourse judge, and one look at this car and I knew I just have to have it! One thing that is very important when buying an e-type is to get a car that is rust free with no signs of accidents and really nice body gaps. Beware of cars that have had "rust repairs" as doing body work on an e-type requires jigs and knowledge that most body shops do not have.
This Jaguar is both matching numbers and original colors, and verified by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate The car shows 58K miles and, based on condition, I would say the mileage is accurate. The car has automatic transmission, which I prefer on the V12 over the manual gearbox as I find it is a better match to that engine and the character of the car.
Prior owner was in Florida and Georgia for 10 years. He purchased it from a gentleman in North Carolina that also had the car for 10 years. The paint is 20 years old and still looks very nice. I prefer nice older paint jobs as a fresh paint job many times develop problems after a short time. Interior was also done 20 years ago and still looks very fresh. There are a couple of small rips on the soft top from when the owner forgot to unsnap the top before lowering it (see photos). The top itself fits well and is otherwise in very good condition. Engine runs wells with excellent oil pressure and no leaks. All gauges work (except the clock) and the AC blows cold.
In 1973, e-types sold in the USA had bigger front bumpers mandated by regulations at that time. This car has been retrofitted with the more attractive Euro style bumpers which were the car's original design and how they were shipped to all other countries.
This is the type of car that has been loved all its life and has never required an extensive restoration. There are receipts that go back 20 years.Includes original owner's manual, tools, new spare tire and shop manual. Car is sorted out and ready to be enjoyed.
