Sellers description:
This is a wire wheel, 4 speed, air conditioned 12 cyl roadster with very high integrity, straight body with great body gaps and ready to be taken to the next level. This car was pulled from a collection of British cars that had all sat for extended amounts of time in a warehouse. The last time the car was registered to drive on the streets was 1998, the previous owner/collector purchased the car in 1982. I have no record or knowledge of the accuracy of the miles. I was told by the owners personal assistant the car was restored and never used. Through the years of sitting the paint finish went flat, the interior stayed in good condition. The car is so straight with little to no body work needed that a repaint would be an easy task.I spent $2700 at the local XKE shop to freshen up the fuel, brake,oil systems. The car appears to be rustfree with the exception of the lowest corner of the sparewheel compartment that is susceptible to moisture there is some corrosion. The fenders, bottom of the doors, floorpans, lead seams, bonnet are all solid, straight and rustfree. The cooling horns for the rear brakes are still intact. The engine maintains strong oil pressure and runs cool, the clutch, transmission, brakes are in good condition.
