Car has a buy it now price of $18,000 for 6 days. 105k miles.

Sellers description:
Hello, we have for sale a very nice 1973 jaguar e type 2+2. This car is mechanically very sound with several new and rebuilt parts, showing just over 105k miles it runs and drives beautifully. The interior is in overall nice condition with a nicely refinished Nardi Torino steering wheel, custom speaker box with lighted jaguar logo and new head liner. The drivetrain is very solid with the numbers matching engine and trans, rebuilt rear end, with locking differential, wire wheels and freshly rebuilt steering rack. The engine has just been serviced, and tuned up, the ignition has been upgraded from the factory lucas system to the much more reliable crane cams optical trigger system. The body is for the most part very strait, there are only a few minor cosmetic rust spots, and dents, however there are quite a few chips in the paint and the paint on the front half of the car has some light oxidation as these parts of the car had been repainted long ago, a little buffing and it shines up nice. This is still a very beautiful and fun car, that is a great daily driver or great candidate for restoration.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
